Your kids don’t only learn coding, but also explore intuitively computational thinking concepts and practices.

To do this, this ScratchJr book is a great start for you then to guide your kids with exercises and also to the world of programming. A great companion read for the app. What is ScratchJr? ScratchJr is a free, introductory computer programming language that runs on iPads, Android tablets, Amazon tablets, and Chromebooks, not written to follow with a laptop or desktop computer.

Even If you are not a programming expert or don’t have any prior knowledge and are trying to help your kids, this book is for you to help you guide your kids. Moreover, You can even let your son/daughter read the book and do the steps by himself/herself. The colorful shots, images, and examples to explain concepts and keeps kids engaged. In addition to that, it is well-written, straightforward, and easy to understand manner. There is no technical jargon!

This book is done really well if you need very precise step by step instructions. More activities for them to try and make after learning about all the buttons. More ideas and inspiration for them. After each activity there is a literacy connection and a math connection which is nice for kids to learn STEM.

This official ScratchJr Book is written by Marina Umaschi Bers and Mitchel Resnick in 2015. Kids who are able to use this book to get himself/herself started using ScratchJr without any help from their parents. It is mostly geared toward the adult-helper role, but kids who are very strong readers might be able to use it by themselves. It offers step-by-step guides to projects of increasing complexity, and ties the ideas into other real-life applications.

Book has hands-on and minds-on activities to help parents to understand what is the learning outcome such as computational thinking, problem solving, and design thinking skills. Moreover, this book has great tips and fun examples to use in our projects and all kinds of new programming adventures.
