We spoke one of the parents about their experiences in STEM Family. Here’s what we’ve learned.

What’s your experience on STEM Family?

I have very little direct experience with STEM.  Mostly, I have observed others in STEM related activities and projects.

What have you learned about computational thinking/design thinking through your activity?

I learned that computational thinking has a wide spectrum of uses, including helping children to organize their thinking about daily routines.

What do you suggest for people who are teaching computational thinking/design thinking in K-12?

Try to integrate computational/design thinking into daily activities and routines.

What are you excited about when it comes to how we will use computational thinking/design thinking in the coming decades?

I am excited to think of all the currently unknown ways that computational thinking and design will effect my life in the future.
